Product Information File / PIF

In order for a cosmetic product to be launched on the market, the Product Information File is one of the most important legal requirements and documentation. Each cosmetic product must have its own Product Information File, which includes the Cosmetic Product Safety Assessment Report, product introduction, production methods and similar information. According to the relevant regulation, the Product Information File of each cosmetic product launched on the market must be kept for 10 years. In case of any change in the product, the Product Information File must be updated immediately.

Product Information File must include:
* Definition of cosmetic product,
* Safety Assessment Report
– Part A – Safety Informations
– Part B – Safety Assessment
* Production information and methods,
* Proof of the claims used in the product,
* Data and information on animal testing, etc.
